Together to End Solitary Confinement

Join the Together Campaign

Vigil to remember those in solitary confinement

We gather on the 23rd of each month to remember those in our prisons and jails condemned to the torture of solitary confinement: 23 hours a day in a small cell without meaningful human contact, often without anything to do except count the cracks in the walls, for days, weeks, months, years, even decades. We listen to the words of those held in solitary, we read their names, and light candles to remember them.
