All are welcome to join Lifespan Religious Education (RE) Coordinator, Carson Jones, and RE Music Specialist, George Weisman, when they lead the live, interactive Children’s Worship for All Ages at 1:00 PM on the first and third Sundays of the month.
This year’s Religious Education theme is JUSTICE. In October, through sharing stories, songs, and spiritual practices, we will explore some of the building blocks of justice: Empathy, Respect, and Relationship – essential gifts we can all bring to build a just and joyful world.
On October 4, we’ll engage with I Am Human: A Book of Empathy by Susan Verde and Peter H. Reynolds, and we will practice a loving kindness meditation.
On October 18, we will hear The Name Jar by Yangsook Choi, the story of a girl whose family emigrated from Korea and is made to feel embarrassed by her beautiful name when her new classmates continually mispronounce it, until her pride is renewed by seeing the uniqueness of her name through the eyes of a new friend.
We look forward to this year together of living our 2nd Unitarian Universalist Principle of Justice, Equity, and Compassion.
