Transgender Inclusion in Congregations (Monday group discussion)

Participants in the Transgender Inclusion in Congregations course gather together on Zoom in small groups for facilitated discussions of the six-session online class created by Rev. Mykal Slack and Zr. Alex Kapitan of the Transforming Hearts Collective. Interactive Zoom conversations facilitated by WinterFlower Robinson, Anne Van der Veer and Carson Jones.

Enrollment in this course is at capacity and we intend to offer the class again in the future. To express interest in future offerings, please contact RE Assistant, Jessica Pond, at jpond@uucsr.org or 516-472-2914

Over six sessions, this course deeply explores the intersection of trans identity, spirituality, and faith community, and participants gain the grounding, context, and skills to transform yourself and your congregation. The sessions also explore how racial justice and feminist theology are key foundations in building a culture of transgender inclusion.

This course is for individuals, groups, and congregational teams who want to take their knowledge and skills to the next level in terms of trans identity and how to create congregations that are fully inclusive and affirming of the full breadth of gender diversity.
