All are welcome to join Lifespan Religious Education (RE) Coordinator, Carson Jones, and RE Music Specialist, George Weisman, when they lead the live, interactive Children’s Worship for All Ages at 11:05am every other Sunday.
This year’s Religious Education theme is JUSTICE. Over the next few weeks, we will engage with the justice themes of segregation, gender expression, disability justice, immigration, and worker's rights.
On January 17: In Ruth and the Green Book by Calvin Alexander Ramsey, Gwen Strauss, and Floyd Cooper, a young African American girl from Chicago goes on a road trip with her family to visit her grandma in Alabama. Through making connections with her community, Ruth learns about the painful reality of Jim Crow and the segregated South.
Together we will explore how it feels to be unwelcome, we'll sing together, and we will hear a powerful anthem from George.
We look forward to this year together of living our 2nd Unitarian Universalist Principle of Justice, Equity, and Compassion.
